Inktomi

Inktomi is considered as one of the largest and successful search engines over the internet. The name, Inktomi, was derived from a spider character presented in an old Indian legend. The logo is very unique and represents different characteristics of the company.  Inktomi has millions of indexed web pages. Inktomi maintains two different databases in order to increase relevancy and also reduce costs. This also helps them to become bigger. It maintains a smaller database for popular web pages as they are accessed more often. It will be also suitable for customers to use a search engine that maintains multiple databases, each satisfying different user needs.
